Tropical One Health and Ecosystems

Tropical OneHealth and Ecosystem publishes original research at the intersection One Health and ecosystem sciences, and, with a primary focus on tropical regions. Where relevant, evidence and solutions derived from subtropical contexts are included when they provide transferable insights applicable to tropical systems. The topics may include following, but not limited to:

One Health sciences in tropical settings: Human, animal, and environment interfaces; Zoonotic and vector-borne diseases; Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs); Antimicrobial and insecticide resistance

Climate change in the tropics: Climate change and risk on diseases; Emerging and re-emerging livestock, wildlife, and zoonotic diseases under changing climatic conditions; Impacts of heat stress, drought, flooding, and extreme weather events on health and disease susceptibility; Animal health, welfare, and productivity under resource scarcity

Tropical ecology and ecosystem: Ecosystem degradation, biodiversity loss, and restoration; Climate-driven species expansion from tropics; Wildlife of tropical atmosphere; Land-use change for ecosystem health; Nature-based solutions (NbS) for health in the tropics
